A special double page layout

Hello! It's finally spring here in southern Minnesota thank goodness!
I was beginning to wonder if it would ever arrive.
I wanted to share a double page scrapbook layout of my beautiful dog JoJo. She past away last spring, and let me tell you, I miss her sweet spirit so very much. I thought I would honor her by making this layout... and so I could look at pictures of her life on our farm. Dogs are such blessings, they become family and love us unconditionally.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great spring!

A Couple of new cards to share

Hello! I've been on a roll lately with making cards. I think I have my crafting Mojo back! I do hope it stays because I sure do love to make cards.

I'm starting out with a Valentine's Day card I made. I mass produced nine for family members.

I used the floral flowers from a PaperTrey Ink stamp set called "Farmer's Market Florals" (LOVE this set). The sentiment is from another PaperTrey Ink stamp set called "Love you to pieces additions" stamp set. The texturized chevron background stamp is from Studio Calico/Hero Arts. I used a Fawn Lawn rectangle stitched die, and the heart is a Stampin Up! die. I Love Nuvo drops and I'm new to using them. There was a little learning curve using them... and I love them! So easy to make your own crystal drops/embellishments now.

This card is a masculine birthday card I made for my nephew Josh. It was so much jun to make. I don't make too many distress technique cards, and NEED to start making more since I've got a lot of Tim Hioltz products. The stamp set is called "Getting There THJ004". Love that it is a collection of smaller stamps that has a train, a car and a ship. It has sentiments and other additional themed stamps in the set. Great for making cards for the guys in my life. The embossing folder is made by Tim Holtz too. I've had these supplies for years, but I've never used them! Am I the only one who does that?

Click on the photos to see them in a bigger size to see all the little details.

And last, here are a couple of cards I made from an online card class I took. What a fabulous class! I Just LOVE this stamp set! It's a border set that has a lovely leaves border, a painted texture border stamp, (and also pine tree border stamp that I did not use on these cards). Its called "Seasonal Borders Stamp Set" by Concord & 9th. The grateful die is from the Concord & 9th "Grateful Leaf Dies" set.

The class was called "Crafted Kindness" from on-line card classes. It's a class to raise money for the 2017 Hurricane relief. Here is the link here: /https://www.onlinecardclasses.com/product/crafted-kindness/. I really was impressed with this class and there are so many cards I made from this class. I lost a bit of my mojo for a while, and this class jumpstarted me back into it. So many talented designers with a lot of videos! Like 30 designers with videos. It was the best $25.00 I've spent and all the money goes to hurricane relief.
Thanks for stopping by I hope you enjoy the cards.

A Very Merry Christmas Card 2017

Hello!
Today I FINALLY decided to share a card after a very long break from my blog.
Today I wanted to share the Christmas card(s) I made for family and friends this year. I made a cute card using a fabulous Tim Holtz stamp set created especially for Simon Says Stamp Stamptember 2017 collection. When I saw this set I just had to have it. The SSS designers made cards using this set and I just loved them ALL.  I CAS'ed a card that I thought would be easier to mass produce (45+) that was made by Cathie Cowles. There where three dies used, an embossing folder and at least three layers as the base. Each year I say to myself "this year I'm going to make a quick and easy card... " but you know how it goes. Here is a link to the Stamptempber 2017 cards made by the designers showcasing this wonderful set: https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/blog/brand-new-tim-holtz-2017-stamptember-exclusive/.
I hope this wonderful Christmas Season brings you much joy and love to you and your loved ones.
Happy Stamping.

Thanksgiving cards to share

Just wanted to share a couple of Thanksgiving cards. I made them kind of last minute, so I'm hoping they make it to my family members in time. (I'm such a terrible procrastinator and didn't get them finished until today, just threes days before Thanksgiving! I do hate that about myself. But alas, it's the thought that counts right?)

I just picked up a fabulous fall/Thanksgiving 6x6 paper pad that I fell in love with at Fond Memories in Walnut Grove, MN. LOVE that designer paper in both 12x12 sheets and a 6x6 pad size! It's called Fall Blessings by Carta Bella. I paired it with some cute Fawn Lawn Stitched Leaves die cuts. Aren't those stitched leaves so cute? Lately they have become a favorite die set for me. I switched things up a bit and made half the cards with a kraft card stock base, and half with cream linen cardstock.

I hope you and your family have a safe, blessed, and wonderful Thanksgiving.

Supplies used:  Cream Linen card stock / Kraft card stock from Paper Trey Ink / Designer Paper: Fall Blessings by Carta Bella / Lost Lagoon ink and card stock, more mustard card stock, pumpkin pie card stock from Stampin Up! / Gratitude sentiment from "Day of Gratitude" stamp set (retired) from Stampin Up! / brown and red ink drops from Studio Calico (Mr. Huey's Mists) / Vintage Photo Distress Ink and distress ink tool from Tim Holtz/Ranger / Stitched Leaves (dies) from Fawn Lawn.

A few sympathy cards to share

Last week I made a few sympathy cards for my sister. Thought I'd share them with you.

This last one I found on Pnterest, and just had to try and re-create.. I just love the large Hero Arts flourishes stamp. You can make any kind of card with it,  so elegant. Thanks for stopping by.

A Tim Holtz tag to share...

Hello! Today I have a few tags I created for my nieces. I just loved Tim Holtz's April 2015 tag post. I mean I fell in love with that tag and a few others he created for his blog this year! So I bought some of the stamps and dies he designed to created some of my own tags.

You can find all the instructions on how to create a tag like this HERE on Tim's blog. He is so talented! And I love the wonderful stamps, dies and line of distress inks he has created with Ranger, Sizzix and Stamper's Anonymous. My two nieces are big fans of his as well! I truly enjoyed making these tags. There is watercoloring and spiriting, distressing and die cutting, then the sewing. Totally therapeutic. I love creating things, it just makes me happy!
