A fine day for stamping...
Sorry for my long hiatus! I figured it's time to get back to making some cards and posting them again!
It's snowing out today if you can believe it! :) I perfect day for stamping and card making!
Quite some time ago I saw a beautiful stamped butterfly card that is similar to the card I created here today. The original creator used a stamped butterfly and the same lace ribbon. I saved the image but forgot where I got it from (maybe from splitcoast stampers?). So I cased this card after that card, sorry I can't remember who originally created it.
I made this card for my Granddaughter Alexis. It's her 10th birthday, and since she loves butterflies, I wanted to make a butterfly birthday card. I picked some pretty designer papers from the "Hey Girl" 6x6 paper pad from Basic Grey. Such pretty colors, very girly.
Here is a close up. I love the butterfly die I used. It's two dies made to layer/work together. Pretty. I used some old lace ribbon and some pretty peach Stampin Up! ribbon. I LOVE that ribbon from the "In Color" collection. I love the color line too!
Thanks for stopping by!

Taking a break...
Hello friends! I know it's been a while since I've made any posts, but I needed to take a break for some health reasons. I had a heart attack (very scary!!!!) mid April, and working my way back to good health, everyday life, plus vegetable gardening (which is going great!).
Thanks for your patience, I'm so grateful for my blog and friends that visit. I'm looking forward to getting back into my art room to make some fun papercrafts to share! :)
In the meantime, here is my last Ai card I made as a guest designer for the new 2013 Girlfriends release. I just love this stamp! So much fun, and I LOVE pedicures.
Hugs and blessings!
Enjoy summer and share it with family.
Tammie

At the Movies...
Hello! Last week Art Impressions released their much anticipated 2013 line of Girlfriends stamps! I could hardly wait to get my hands on the new sets! They have also added some new kits with this new line of girlfriends stamps. How cool huh? The set includes a pad of 6"x6" pad of Prima designer paper (LOVE the colors and designs on both pads), five sheets of some color coordinating Bazzil cardstock, 2 pieces of twine, mini brads, 18" of ribbon, 13 enamel dots, and 3 wooden buttons. The card kit that I used is GF Card Kit #2.
The Ai stamp I used is called "At the Movies" SKU# 4237. I just LOVE this new stamp, maybe because I LOVE movies and Ai girlfriends so much. I used copic markers for the coloring.
I paired the Girlfriends at the Movies stamp set with My Favorite Things "DC Just the Ticket" stamp set and ticket die. Another favorite stamp set of mine! They are perfect together.
For the inside I added a ticket die cut, and a sentiment, both sentiments are from the At the Movies Girlfriend set. Such cute sentiments in the set too!
Last week was my last day on the Art Impressions Design Team. I loved being part of Art Impressions for my 6 month DT term. It was so much fun (a dream come true) and I worked with so many talented, and wonderful women in the industry. It was such an honor to be be chosen for the DT and do what I love to do, make cards and stamping! I will still be filling my addiction with Ai stamps to be sure (as I just received my latest Ai order in the mail!) hehe. Can't wait to see all the new stamps as they release them over the 2013 year. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Reach for the Stars!
Hello and Happy Friday Ai friends! Today I have a Graduation card to share with you. I'm so excited to finally get my hands on this new Ai Grad 2013 Reach for the Stars stamp SKU# 4292. It's such a fabulous sentiment stamp, and oh so versitile!
My card size is a regular A2 (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") card size. I wanted to use a formal color scheme of black, sliver, and white. I used an older paper pad from DCWV 8" x 8" called La Creme Stack (printed paper with flocking). I paired that with black and brushed silver cardstock. I added some black diamond stickles to the cute star in the sentiment for some added glimmer. I also had some rhinestone accent swirls to add a nice balance.
On the inside of my card I stamped a simple Congratulations sentiment SKU# G959. I added a large strip of matching designer paper at the bottom. I hope you have enjoyed my Graduation card. I can't believe graduation's are just around the corner! Thank you for stopping by the Art Impressions blog. Happy stamping!

Ai Challenge 106 - Pin It!
Hello friends! It's Challenge 106 over at the Art Impressions Blog today, and the challenge is to use "Pins" in your card or project. I love using fancy stick or hat pins on my cards, so this was a fabulous and fun challenge for me, since I have quite a supply of stick pins. I chose to use one of my favorite Ai stamps Jumbo Dancer, SKU# 4191, a cute elephant stamp set that is from the Art Impressions Zoo Crew line of stamps.
My kraft base cardstock size is 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" square. I used a cute designer paper 6" x 6" pad from Cosmo Cricket called Baby Jane. I paper pieced the cute elephant's dress with coordinating designer paper from the pad. I Love the bright colors and pretty patterns. I used two different stick pins to mix it up a bit, the yellow leaf pin is made by Little Yellow Bicycle, and the little white flower pin is made by Maya Road. The buttons are from My Favorite Things Stamps, and the cream twine is from Paper Trey Ink.
I hope you enjoyed my creation today. Please stop by the Art Impressions Blog to see what the other Ai Design Team members have made for this fun challenge. Won't you play along with us? You could win $10.00 in Ai stamps! Thanks for stopping by!

Crop til you drop!
Hello friends! Today I have a fun card made with a favorite Ai People stamp called Cropper SKU# U4092. I just LOVE this fun image! So fun to make a card for your scrapbooking friends! My kraft card base is 6" x 6", a nice large square card.
I colored my image in with copic markers and rounded all the edges. I sewed the layers to the kraft base. I added seven white buttons from my button stash. The designer paper is a 6" x 6" paper pad called "Fine and Dandy", by My Mind's Eye that is just adorable paper.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and Happy Spring!
