A Wedding Card

Hello! I have a wedding card to share with you. I really love how it turned out. It's non-traditional one might say, and different. I chose some pretty colors that coordinate with the actual colors the bride used in her wedding, gray and orange. (Some of the flowers in the designer paper are orange and gray). I wanted to use bright summer colors, and I wanted to use this beautiful bible verse stamp as the main image.  I used many assorted dies and many different layers.

This inside of this card is simple. I added a cute die cut and stamp to the inside cover of the card that I thought would be cute. Hope you like my creations. Thanks for stopping by. It's gonna be a hot one this week. I think I'll escape to my art room and make some cards!
Stay cool!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a great summer!

Warm July summer days...

Hello and Happy Fourth of July weekend! Time truly speeds by doesn't it. It is a lovely summer day here in southern Minnesota! Today I have a card to share with you that is bright like a summer day! I made this card for my sister in KY. She always is doing so many sweet things for me, so I wanted to send her a thank you card in return. I really like how this turned out! I used a variety of items on this card from different companies, which make it kinda fun to mix and match things.

I love to use label dies for sentiments. I think they really make the sentiment stand out. I also use distress ink on every single card or scrapbook page I make. I love the way a project looks finished by using it. My card size  4-1/4" x 5-1/2".
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a safe and happy weekend.

A fine day for stamping...

Sorry for my long hiatus! I figured it's time to get back to making some cards and posting them again!
It's snowing out today if you can believe it! :)  I perfect day for stamping and card making!

Quite some time ago I saw a beautiful stamped butterfly card that is similar to the card I created here today. The original creator used a stamped butterfly and the same lace ribbon. I saved the image but forgot where I got it from (maybe from splitcoast stampers?). So I cased this card after that card, sorry I can't remember who originally created it.

I made this card for my Granddaughter Alexis. It's her 10th birthday, and since she loves butterflies, I wanted to make a butterfly birthday card. I picked some pretty designer papers from the "Hey Girl" 6x6 paper pad from Basic Grey. Such pretty colors, very girly.

Here is a close up.  I love the butterfly die I used. It's two dies made to layer/work together.  Pretty. I used some old lace ribbon and some pretty peach Stampin Up! ribbon. I LOVE that ribbon from the "In Color" collection. I love the color line too!
Thanks for stopping by!

Taking a break...

Hello friends! I know it's been a while since I've made any posts, but I needed to take a break for some health reasons. I had a heart attack (very scary!!!!) mid April, and working my way back to good health, everyday life, plus vegetable gardening (which is going great!).
Thanks for your patience, I'm so grateful for my blog and friends that visit. I'm looking forward to getting back into my art room to make some fun papercrafts to share!  :)

In the meantime, here is my last Ai card I made as a guest designer for the new 2013 Girlfriends release. I just love this stamp! So much fun, and I LOVE pedicures.

Hugs and blessings!
Enjoy summer and share it with family.
