Happy Day after Thanksgiving!

Hello and happy "Black Friday". I've only gone shopping once in my life on "the day after Thanksgiving", and lets just say once was enough for me! I'd rather be at home stamping! So without further delay... onto today's creation! I LOVE making Christmas cards! And I absolutely LOVE this super cute Art Impressions stamp of "Decorating Penguins", SKU# T3055. This image just makes me smile. Who doesn't love penguins? And this image was so much fun to color in with alcohol markers. I thought I would give Cryogen Metallic cardstock a try. And let me tell you, I LOVE this paper is all I can say! It is great for alcohol markers, as I used a combination of Copic and Spectrum Noir markers. It is really pretty because there are little metallic flecks in the paper. You can see them in my close up shot.

If you click on the photo you will get a larger view. Cryogen is super smooth for alcohol marker coloring, and the colors blend together like a dream.
I made the base of the card with kraft cardstock. Then used a layer of Real Red cardstock from Stampin Up! Its a really nice bright red for Christmas. Next I chose a really cute Cosmo Cricket 6"x6" Christmas designer paper pad that I purchased last year that I still LOVE. I used three coordinating papers and distressed the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink, then sewed them onto the kraft base. I wanted to add some texture to my card, so I embossed a piece of red cardstock with "Petals A Plenty" embossing folder from Stampin Up. For embellishments I added some clear crystals from Hero Arts, and a snowflake I die cut and added a custom colored lilac crystal to.

I stamped the inside with a BRAND new Ai Christmas sentiment stamp, SKU# G4169. Love that sweet and simple sentiment. I added a few snowflakes (very old Hero Arts stamp) in blue dye ink.  I hope you enjoyed this fun Christmas card creation. Thank you for visiting and Happy Stamping!
