It's a lazy boy kind of day

Hello Ai friends and happy Friday! I hope you had a great week, and are ready for the weekend. I've been a little short on masculine cards, so I thought I would make a couple so I have them handy. I chose to use this really fun Ai People stamp called Lazy Boy Set, SKU# 4159. It's a great stamp for a male birthday card, fathers day card, or any special card for the men in your life.
My kraft card base is 5-1/2" x 5-1/2". I ran some olive cardstock through a Sizzix embossing folder, and layered that onto the top of the kraft card base, and on the bottom I layered some orange rust, with designer paper. I sewed the layers together. I stamped my image onto white cardstock and colored it in with copic markers. I layered my image onto olive and orange rust cardstock, and sewed around the edges. I adhered the layered image with 3M foam tape. I added two buttons onto the front, and stamped the sentiment that comes with the set.

Here is a close up of my card so you can the details better. Please click on the photo to see an enlarged image.

I left the inside of my card blank, so when I use it I can add the appropriate sentiment. I added a large strip of matching designer paper at the bottom, rounded the top corners and distressed the edges with tea dye distress ink. Thank you for stopping by the Art Impressions blog today. I hope you get some stamping time in this weekend!

Awesome card, I love everything about it! Especially the couch, it has a 'suede' feel! :D
